Structured Training Program

UGIRA facilitates a structured training program consisting of:

  • Case observation for the surgeon, scrub nurse, and anesthesiologist
  • UGIRA-endorsed course on minimally invasive esophagectomy & gastrectomy
  • Basic robotics course, including simulation tools
  • Specialised cadaver training
  • Robotic proctorship program including on-site training

This program has been investigated and described by Kingma et al. A schematic overview is shown below.
